Precious Time To...

I was wondering how often we take the precious time to acknowledge one another.... I often walk down the street, on campus, into a coffee house, a store, etc... and people pass right by. It doesn't always happen that way, but people often seem distracted, busy perhaps, and I wonder....With the world being at such a fast pace, do we even take the time to bring a small moment of joy into the lives of one another, even strangers? I believe it is our responsibility on an individual level to be happy. With this responsibility we should also be responsible for connecting with others and giving a bit of that happiness to each other. Each moment of life is such a tremendous gift and without recognizing the importance of each moment, parts of life are lost... I am fully aware that I am not introducing a new concept....some may even think this subject has been talked to death....But I just don't see it getting better. In actuality, I see a greater distance occurring in the world in general. I am constantly viewing a disconnect within the world that spills into the lives of friends and of families....and for this I feel saddened....Of course with all things there are exceptions, those whom constantly bring that ray of sunshine to every experience they encounter....I love it when I come in contact with those that are constantly encompassed in the beauty of positive energy....It's our choice, our responsibility to be a part of this, to shine, to love, to connect....
